Help with the app and this website
Something not working, or a question about how the app behaves? Write to us. A person reads every message.
We aim to reply within two business days. There is no account to sign into and no ticket number to track; just send a message and we will answer it.
It helps us a great deal if you tell us three things: the device you are using, such as iPhone 14 or a Samsung Galaxy; the state or territory you selected when the problem happened; and what you expected to happen instead. A screenshot is welcome but never required.
Does the app register me to vote? No, and that is deliberate. The Unclassified is a reference tool. You choose your state or territory and the app opens that jurisdiction's own official registration page, run by that government. You complete the registration there, on their site, under their rules. We never handle, submit or store a registration.
A deadline looks wrong to me. Please tell us. Every date in the app is worked out from that jurisdiction's published rule and cross checked against vote.gov, the official voter registration site of the United States government. Rules do change, and if we have one wrong we want to fix it quickly. Email us with the state and the date you believe is correct.
A registration link is broken or goes to the wrong place. States reorganize their websites more often than you would think. Send us the state and we will chase the current official destination and update it.
Do I need an account? No. The app has no sign up, no login and no password. Open it and use it.
What does the app collect about me? Nothing about you personally. Full detail is in our privacy policy.
How do I stop the emails? If you gave us your email address on this website, write to the address above and say the word. Your address is deleted, not merely suppressed. You do not need to explain why.
The reminder button did not add anything to my calendar. The reminder builds a calendar file and hands it to whichever calendar app your device uses. If nothing happened, your browser may have blocked the download, or no calendar app is set as the default. Try the Google Calendar option instead, or tell us what device you are on and we will help.
If any part of the app or this website is difficult to use with a screen reader, with larger text, or in any other way, please tell us. We treat that as a bug worth fixing, not a nice to have.
